This is an intimate class of a maximum of six artists.

Mia will demonstrate TWO bridal looks including:-

1. Bride

Mia will demonstrate one of her most requested signature bridal looks, going into great detail on the following:-

Choosing the right products for skin prep on different skin types which will affect your base & longevity of the makeup.

Creating the perfect base on different skin types - knowing which foundation is best suited to which skin type and creating a base that will last all day.

Eye shadow blending techniques, brush placement, product placement, favourite high performance products & brushes that last from day into night.

Eye-lining - dos and don'ts and the importance of eye shapes when it comes to lining. Cult products that perform easily making your lining easier & most importantly, waterproof.

Brow design - enhancing and recreating (where necessary) a flattering brow shape without going out of your client's comfort zone. Fluffy brow setting techniques to ensure brows stay in place all day whilst remaining natural looking.

Contouring & highlighting and choice of products depending on the skin type and texture - for eg. powers versus creams. Shaping the face with techniques that are suitable for event makeup rather than photoshoot makeup. Creating natural light and shade on a face to enhance but not be over done.

Lip enhancing. Lips can often be skipped over quickly by artists, especially in big bridal parties where it is the last thing to usually be applied and time is an issue. A lip can be shaped and enhanced dramatically with the use of over lining and highlighting/ low lighting with multiple shades and textures of products.

Décolletage work. Mia believes the décolletage is an area not to be missed but also not overdone. She will demonstrate her personal techniques and choice of products when it comes to completing the look with body work.

Designing the look for your bride that is tailored to her & also how to approach situations where the requested look may not be suitable.

Recognising and identifying significant facial features & the looks that are most flattering on those features and also looks that will not be flattering.

2. Mother of the Bride

Mature aged makeup is different to youthful makeup in terms of the look designed and also the products used. The skin texture and hydration levels are different as we get older and we must use different techniques and products on such skin. In terms of the look, usually in Mia's experience, it's a more pulled back, natural look. Mature makeup is more the concept of knowing what not to do and knowing when to stop to ensure your client is comfortable with the look.

This is a hands on workshop where each artist will have two hours of hands on time to create ONE look that they choose.

Also included in this class is an in-depth group seminar on the back end of your bridal business including correspondence with potential brides, running time of the day, rates, handling of payments, trials, travel fees etc. - everything you need to consider when booking in a wedding that no one tells you when starting your bridal business.

Each artist will require:-

Class will commence at 8.00 a.m. SHARP and we ask that artists are punctual as demonstrations will commence on time.

Your model is required from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. when the class concludes.

There will be a lunch break from 12.00 p.m.

Booking fees are non refundable or transferable under any circumstances. 50% booking fee is required to book and the balance is due the week prior to class commencing. View less

GC Content Creator Masterclass 11 November

This is an intimate class of a maximum of six artists.

This masterclass is for professional artists wanting not only to improve their makeup skills but also how to capture it to create content.

I have been running my Masterclasses for seven years now, and every venue I go to I see so many amazing artists and their creations. However, in some cases artists have been unable to capture their amazing work in their images for social media which is what we all know is what brings us work.

No longer are we just makeup artists, we are hair stylists, creative directors, stylists, photographers, editors, creative writers and marketing managers.

I will show you and teach you how I have grown my combined social media platforms to over 150K and used it to grow my business and work internationally and with brands that I have forever looked up to since the start of my makeup career.

I will be demonstrating ONE of my signature makeup styles and I will be going into great detail as to how to photograph my model, lighting, angles, editing, captions, social media marketing, getting exposure from brands etc.

This is a hands on work shop where you will either recreate my look or a look of your own on your model and then I will be assisting you all with creating the content that will get you the WORK and grow your social media.

Class commences at 8.00 a.m. SHARP

There will be a lunch break from approximately 12.00 p.m.

YOU MUST BRING:-

YOUR MAKEUP KIT, BRUSHES, MODEL.

Your model is required at 1.00 p.m. for approximately 3 hours.
